ASUS just added a new graphics card to the EXPEDITION line-up with the new ASUS EXPEDITION GTX 1070 8GB, focusing on gaming cafes. The new ASUS EXPEDITION GTX 1070 is factory-overclocked at 1607/1797 MHz in OC Mode. It has 8GB of GDDR5 VRAM and each card has been tested exhaustively in ASUS iCafe Labs, with a intensive 144-hours diskless environment test.

The card also uses the ASUS Auto-Extreme automated production process which promises higher quality cards with an entirely automated manufacturing process. Additionally, it also will feature ASUS’ Zero-db fans technology that do not spin until the GPU temperature exceed 60 Celsius.

The card measure at 9.45 inch in length with 5.16 inch in height, it uses two heat pipes and two fans with dual-ball bearing to reducing friction and improve cooling efficiency. In terms of display output, it will feature two HDMI, two DisplayPort and single DVI for better VR compatibility.

At the moment, ASUS has not disclosed the retail price of its ASUS EXPEDITION GTX 1070 8GB graphics card but it seems like the card will be widely available in SEA market, targeted at gaming cafes.

Pokdepinion: Now we have over 100 kinds of NVIDIA GTX 1070 graphics cards, it just matters which one fit the budget. Also, it now makes me wonder why the EXPEDITION line up which is made for durability in gaming cafe environments, why did  ASUS just use their existing TUF branding which signifies durability and endurance in the first place.
