The PCs will be used to help with the deployment of the State of Johor’s vaccination programme across 56 vaccination centres in April. The Chief Minister of Johor, Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Hasni Mohammad expressed his gratitude for HP’s donations. He also stated that the donated PCs will be repurposed for the use of community internet centres and educational purposes post COVID-19 to ensure that the PCs see full use.

This donation is part of HP Malaysia’s ongoing effort to provide assistance to Malaysia during this pandemic. The company provided support to government bodies, businesses, and communities through donations to Mercy Malaysia to help pilot targeted mass COVID-19 testing programmes as well as personal protective supplies to the state of Johor and Penang.

Throughout the year, the company also launched several remote working and learning initiatives aimed to keep Malaysians learning and working from home safely including partnering with Teach for Malaysia to donate laptops to support students in need.

Pokdepinion: It’s always nice seeing companies like this help people out in times of need. Regardless of what some people might say about the whole thing, bottom line is that they’re there to help and that’s what matters most.
