Gamers usually frown at wireless peripherals. I believe most of us gamers who tried to try to do away with cords have experience the panic when your wireless peripheral either straight out dies or flashes its low battery signal when you are in an intense gaming session. To alleviate your worries, Logitech’s latest LIGHTSPEED peripherals, the Logitech G603 wireless gaming mouse and G613 wireless mechanical gaming keyboard promises up to 18 months of battery life.

With a 1ms report rate, the Logitech G613 keyboard and Logitech G603 mouse are going to be just as responsive as any wired peripherals you have. The Logitech G603 features two modes, HI and LO. It will sacrifice battery life to run at this ultra-fast 1ms report rate in HI mode, dropping down to just 500 hours of non-stop gaming. The Logitech G603 offers up to 18 months of battery life in LO mode or Bluetooth, with the report rate slowed down to 8ms. The Logitech G613 keyboard also offers support for both Bluetooth and LIGHTSPEED wireless connectivity, but it is rated for 18 months of battery life in both modes. You can easily switch between the modes via a switch under the G603 or a button on the G613. Both peripherals are powered by 2 AA batteries each.

The Logitech G603 is capable of delivering this much battery life on just 2 AA batteries because of the new optimized High Efficiency Rated Optical (HERO) sensor that delivers up to 10x the efficiency of past-gen sensors while retaining a grand 12000 DPI sensitivity. It’s weight is also customizable with the option of running with one or two AA batteries.

Logitech’s homegrown Romer-G mechanical switches are found on the Logitech G613 keyboard. With a shorter actuation point of just 1.5mm, faster registration of every key press is assured. A low actuation force of just 45g also helps to reduce fatigue over long sessions of gaming or typing. Six programmable G-keys are available to be assigned to any macros you want to have right at your fingertips.

Pricing wise, the Logitech G603 will be priced at RM329, while the Logitech G613 will be priced at RM499.

Pokdepinion: With just 500 hours of non-stop gaming, the Logitech G603 isn’t that environmentally friendly unless you invest in rechargeable AA batteries. The missing backlighting on the keyboard also essentially negates any benefits Romer-G had over Cherry switches.
