Owners of current ASUS Intel Z170, Q170, H170, H110, B150 and C232 LGA 1151 motherboards will soon get a BIOS update to add support for the upcoming Kaby Lake Intel Core processors. The update will involve a simple one-touch operation with either a USB drive or a Windows app, readying current systems for a Kaby Lake upgrade.

7th Gen Intel Kaby Lake Core family

With an extensive list of motherboards ranging from their high end ASUS ROG Maximus VIII series of motherboards down to the C232-based motherboards, everyone will be getting an update to support the upcoming Kaby Lake CPUs.

Pokdepinion: While there will be Z270 motherboards that will launch together with the new Kaby Lake CPUs, there will always be those who choose to keep using their motherboards and just swap out the processor for a newer one. This is a great move from ASUS to allow their clients to get ready for an upgrade so quickly.
