ASUS Launches Z790 Series Motherboards for 13th-Gen Intel CPUs

ASUS today announced the latest lineup of Intel Z790 motherboards across ROG Maximus, ROG STRIX, TUF Gaming and PRIME product families – all built to support the latest Intel 13th Gen CPUs.

ASUS Z790

All Z790 models will support AEMP II (ASUS Enhanced Memory Profile II) that offers up to 37.5% faster RAM speeds over JEDEC-standard DDR5-4800 speeds thanks to a flexible “training” method, which offers one-click option to boost memory performance. On the CPU side, AI Overclocking – available to ROG Maximus & STRIX models – monitors and tunes parameters depending on system configuration, cooler efficiency and operating environment to provide best performance in both single-thread and all-core workloads in just one click.

First featured in ASUS X670 series motherboards, AI Cooling II is also available in Z790 lineup. It uses machine learning to determine system’s capabilities during a quick stress test, then it calculates the best way to cool the components with the lowest fan speeds possible – ASUS has claimed a 5.7dB reduction under sustained workloads. This feature is available under FanXpert section of Armoury Crate app.

Q-Design provides user-friendly PC building experience with quick release latches on GPU slots, DIMMs and M.2 slots, providing easy access and removal of components across all Z790 models.
