GIGABYTE Introduces Five AMD B650 Series Motherboards

GIGABYTE today has introduced its latest AMD B650 models shortly after the X670 launch; five models will make way into mainstream AMD motherboard lineup, including AORUS, GAMING X and AERO models.

Features include PCIe 5.0 x16 GPU slot or x4 M.2 SSD slot (on select models), up to 16+2+2 phase, 105A Smart Power Stage, 12-layer PCB for improved signaling, and Active OC Tuner for optimized performance on Ryzen 7000 processors – it works by dynamically switching between PBO and manual overclock depending on the amount of cores loaded. B650 boards will support EZ-Latch for quick SSD installation; enhanced SMD slots provides extra shear protection with reinforced GPU slots.

Both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP certified DDR5 RAM are supported, with GIGABYTE claiming up to DDR5-6600 speeds are achievable. Similar to its X670 counterparts, the B650 lineup will feature VRM heatsink array that provides full cooling coverage in a single-piece heatsink. In preparation of the new 25110 SSD standard, GIGABYTE also designed the SSD slots to accept this new form factor on top of the traditional 2280 form factor. GIGABYTE Smart Fan 6 technology is also carried over from its flagship models for better thermal management.

The lineup also offers 2.5GbE LAN, with Wi-Fi 6E for all Wi-Fi motherboards; USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20Gbps) Type-C is also integrated among up to 19 USB ports in assorted form factor and rated bandwidth. The new GIGABYTE Control Center (GCC) replaces the preceding App Center for vital system management.
