[CES2018] MasterWatt Maker and MasterWatt V announced; Cooler Master Connect v2.0 for monitoring from the cloud!
Power up with MasterWatt
Cooler Master’s PSU lineup is now expanded with the introduction of the MasterWatt V and MasterWatt Maker with Cooler Master Connect v2.0 power supplies. The new power supplies sport features unique features like enhanced reliability and cloud monitoring.
MasterWatt V series
For those who need the most durable power supply out there, the MasterWatt V is it. Designed for reliability, the MasterWatt V series is backed by a 10-year warranty, double that of its predecessors. 16AWG PCIe cables and EPS connectors offer improved efficiency, while a 135mm FDB fan keeps things cool inside the power supply. The maximum operating temperature of the MasterWatt V series is also a considerably high 50°C, promising safe operation even in the most extreme conditions for an extended period of time.
Available in 550W, 650W and 750W models, the MasterWatt V series PSUs are 80 Plus Gold rated for high efficiency. This PSU is slated for availability starting Q2 2018.
MasterWatt Maker with Cooler Master Connect v2.0
Available in 1200W and 1500W variants, the new MasterWatt Maker PSUs are for the most demanding of enthusiasts. Sporting a 80 Plus Titanium efficiency rating, the PSU delivers 94% efficiency for elite-class performance. Next generation 3D circuit design reduces the number of components in the PSU, increasing airflow and reducing temperatures.
The highlight feature of the new MasterWatt Maker with Cooler Master Connect v2.0 is the incorporation of Overlay.live. This software was created through cooperative efforts by Cooler Master, extreme overclockers and independent app developers. The application allows for the monitoring of the power supply in real time as an overlay in games and also accessed through the cloud.
The MasterPlus+ solution which was supported by the older MasterWatt Maker series also allows the monitoring of multiple MasterWatt Maker with Cooler Master Connect v2.0 PSUs, simultaneously. It also allows the monitoring from the cloud, for seamless remote monitoring and system management.
The MasterWatt Maker with Cooler Master Connect v2.0 is expected to be available in Q3 2018.
Pokdepinion: The MasterWatt Maker looks really overkill with the latest hardware being increasingly efficient. Hope they will pair the Cooler Master Connect v2.0 with lower wattage PSUs in the future.
