Lazada’s ‘Buy Malaysia’ Campaign, in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (MDTCA), runs from now until December 31. This year’s Lazada campaign, now in its second edition, attempts to help local businesses stay afloat during the pandemic by encouraging consumers to support and shop for Malaysian-made products online. When buying Malaysian-made products or brands, online customers will be rewarded with exclusive promotions and savings as part of the campaign.

When purchasing locally online, customers can take advantage of a variety of advantages, including Daily Free Shipping and RM10 off discount vouchers. Additionally, Lazada will continue to work to remove barriers for local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to digitalise their businesses through the Pintar Niaga programme, which offers benefits such as zero commission and no listing fee for businesses who use Lazada’s eCommerce platform during the campaign period.

As part of Lazada’s ‘Buy Malaysia’ Campaign, new sellers who sign up for Lazada’s eCommerce platform during the campaign period will be eligible for a special new seller package through Pintar Niaga, which includes the following benefits:

  • 0% commission and listing fee
  • 0% payment fee for all orders received within 30 days from onboarding date
  • RM300 ad credits for 90 days

Additionally, new sellers will receive guidance and support for the first 90 days from the dedicated Lazada incubation team, full access to Lazada’s suite of tech and innovative digital tools, Weekly New Seller Training by certified LazStars and education via Lazada University, as well as marketing campaigns including Weekly New Seller Campaign Exposure to help expand their customer outreach to the 1 in 3 Malaysians population who shop on Lazada and differentiate their business on the eCommerce platform.

Since the launch of its ‘Pakej Kedai Pintar’ SMEs stimulus package in April 2020, Lazada has supported hundreds of thousands of MSMEs in making the digital jump. This has resulted in a 300 percent rise in new merchants joining the platform, as well as a more than doubled gain in revenues by the end of 2020. Lazada established ‘Pakej Kedai Pintar 2.0′ and its ‘Kedai Pintar Niaga’ initiative earlier this year to provide further assistance to MSMEs and to help them overcome problems as a community.
