AEON Member Plus Visa Card and AEON Wallet Mobile App Officially Launched

With Bank Negara Malaysia plans to increase the number of online transactions in the country, AEON Group has decided to join in the bandwagon by launching their AEON Member Plus Visa Card and AEON Wallet mobile app.

The launch was attended by Malaysia’s Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution, where he officiated the event. AEON Group aims to dispel the notion that cashless payments are insecure and not user-friendly with the launch of the two products.

With the AEON Member Plus Visa Card, it is a 1-for-all card that not only allows AEON loyalty member card users to collect double points at all AEON outlets, but also acts as a Visa prepaid card for cashless payment in-store and online.

Switching over to the AEON Wallet app, well it’s basically everything you’d expect from an eWallet application. The app is linked to an AEON Member Plus Visa CArd and allows you to pay through VR code at all AEON retailer outlets. The card also supports Visa payWave for faster transactions, lessening the time you need to queue up.

Though you probably have seen dozens of eWallets going around, AEON’s version is actually the first that is launched by a retailer here in Malaysia (the more you know).

The AEON Member Plus Visa Card and AEON Wallet are now available to everyone in the country. Card owners can top-up funds at any AEON Retailer Outlet’s cashier counters, AEON Credit Service ATMs, online banking, or even the AEON Wallet mobile app. AEON Wallet is available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
