Grab has today launched their new Regional Centre of Excellence (RCoE) which is located in Petaling Jaya. The new centre will house the company’s core business strategy and operational functions, which includes legal, customer experience, financial services and creative services.

Minister of International Trade and Industry, YB Datuk Ignatius Darell Leiking was also on board to officiate the launch event. The new office is 54000 sq ft big, where it  creates 400 job opportunities, where they hope in achieving their total employees in Malaysia to reach 1000.

Our strong investments in anchoring our Regional Centre of Excellence and latest R&D Centre in Malaysia is our response to the Malaysian government’s call for public-private partnerships to help drive Malaysia’s Industry 4.0 blueprint and digital economy ambitions. We are committed to helping Malaysia unlock greater economics gains by creating high-value jobs, nurturing deep tech talents, and attracting more Malaysians overseas to return home. Sean Goh, Country Head for Grab Malaysia

Aside from the office launch, they’ve also revealed on their commitment to Malaysia’s industry 4.0 through the following:

  1. Shared, seamless and mobility solution for all
  2. Better livelihoods and income-earning opportunities for driver-partners
  3. Digital shop fronts for GrabFood, GrabRewards, and GrabPay merchant partners
  4. Access to GrabPlatform to help like-minded start-ups and partners scale their business

Pokdepinion: Allowing more job opportunities is always great news to the people. Let’s just hope they put the new centre to good use.
