A lot of us love travelling, and most of us would prefer to live in a homestay rather than a hotel. However homestays aren’t protected by any form of insurance, and it relies mainly on trust between the hosts and guests to not ruin each other’s day. Seeing an opportunity here, TuneProtect and HostAStay partnered up to bring HostProtect.

HostProtect’s main goal is to protect the hosts from losing out when their properties get damaged, but that doesn’t mean that guests don’t get anything. In the event that an unfortunate guests is involved in an accident in the property, HostProtect will also help to cover the liabilities that would otherwise be the hosts responsibility.

This new insurance plan covers up to RM30 000 per household, so homeowners would be more willing to invest in quality furniture with the peace of mind offered by HostProtect. Indirectly, guests will also benefit from a more comfortable stay on the properties.

HostAStay is offering the HostProtect plan on their website, priced from RM599/year inclusive of HostAStay’s services. The first 100 sign-ups will also receive 1000 BIG Points.

Have you used a homestay recently?

Pokdepinion: Sounds like a good plan to ensure that both guests and hosts can enjoy more peace of mind at homestays.
