The folks at Celcom had recently extended additional connectivity assistance for on-ground medical staff throughout hospitals in their fight with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Celcom Extends Communication Support To Hospitals

In their efforts to help the cause, Celcom handed over 200 dedicated postpaid SIM cards to assist the Ministry of Health to reach out to Covid-19 Patient(s) Under Investigation (PUI) and potential contacts.

With the SIM cards, it provides free unlimited calls as well as 20GB of data for each line.

Aside from that, they’ve also reached out to Sungai Buloh Hospital, one of the country’s critical hospital in curbing the pandemic.

The hospital received 40 mobile devices and phone lines, along with the deployment of Celcom’s Cellular on Wheels’, a transportable network infrastructure booster.

Here’s what the Chief Executive Officer of Celcom, Idham Nawawi had to say about the effort:

As the nation’s dedicated medical frontliners are utilizing all resources including manpower and technical infrastructures, our support aims to ease their efforts and extend their communication avenue further, which is also crucial in curbing and flattening the curve of Covid-19 amongst Malaysians
