City Broadband Offering 1Gbps Internet Below RM200 in Malaysia

It’s public knowledge that the folks over at Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has acquired Setia Haruman Technology, one of the internet service providers in Cyberjaya. Now, Setia Haruman Technology is gearing up for an expansion, and they are eyeing for Jasin, Melaka with City Broadband.

City Broadband has a total of four home fibre internet plans available for people to subscribe to:

  • 50 Mbps = RM79 per month
  • 100 Mbps = RM99 per month
  • 500 Mbps = RM139 per month
  • 1 Gbps = RM199 per month

As you can tell, their offerings are quite affordable. In fact, the very idea that you can enjoy speeds of up to 1Gbps for below RM200 is amazing. If you don’t need super fast speeds, RM79 per month for 50Mbps speeds is already a very good deal.

For those of you who aren’t aware, City Broadband is already available and being offered in Cyberjaya as well as Bangsar South. Jasin, Melaka will mark their newest expansion of their service, and it is expected to cover more areas in the future.

Their home fibre internet plans will come with either 24-month contracts or 12-month contracts. The 12-month contract will come with a one-time payment of RM300 and you will not be eligible for any of their future promotions. Be sure to check with your local stores before subscribing.

Pokdepinion: Kinda wished I had 1Gbps speeds at home. Perhaps it’s time to move to a new place. Cyberjaya sounds like a comfortable to live in, though it may be a bit on the quieter side.
