TM has started having a new limited time promo for Streamyx, offering their broadband packages for RM100 and below. It’s something, we suppose.

We Might Not Get That 50% Price Cut from TM for Internet Access

It appears that the folks over at Telekom Malaysia (TM) has started offering a limited time promo for their Streamyx broadband packages. It’s rare for this kinda thing to happen but with the recent price cuts with Unifi, this is somewhat expected, especially for those who do not have access to Unifi.

This promo will see Streamyx subscribers saving up on a decent amount of money every month compared to its original price. However, keep in mind that this limited time promo will only be available in selected places as opposed to the whole of Malaysia.

Disclaimer: We are not endorsing the sale of this promo package. It’s merely a sample of the promo.

According to the Facebook post found by Amanz, these are the Streamyx packages offered by TM:

  • 1Mbps = RM90
  • 2Mbps = RM90
  • 4Mbps = RM90
  • 8Mbps = RM100

Subscribers are also expected to have free calls to TM fixed lines while the 8mbps package will also have access to the basic programming on UnifiTV.

This new promo appears to only be applicable to new Streamyx customers only, so current subscribers will still have to pay the same amount as the original price. As we reported before, TM is currently planning to upgrade Unifi users as well as some Streamyx users that are eligible for Unifi so more people can enjoy high speed internet.

However, this still leaves the people who have no choice but to subscribe to Streamyx as they have no access to Unifi out in the dark. We will be reporting on the situation as more information becomes available.

Pokdepinion: Well, I am about pretty sure there is gonna be a huge number of people being unhappy with TM if they continuously get ignored. Get your voices heard and continue pressuring them, peeps.
