Streamyx 8 Mbps to be offered from RM69/month
While TM treated unifi subscribers to much faster internet packages at the same price, the majority of TM users are stuck on much slower Streamyx plans which are also grotesquely overpriced. After our Minister of Communication and Multimedia has demanded a plan of action last month, this is TM’s solution.
The reduced prices was announced at the Kembara Digital Malaysia roadshow in Ipoh. Existing customers can now enjoy Streamyx 8 Mbps at RM69/month, while new customers will have to pay RM89/month for the service.
Compared to the previous pricing structure which saw Streamyx 1 Mbps users paying RM110/month, this is a huge price reduction. More details will apparently be announced at a later date, but this is really #khabarbaik for Malaysians still stuck on Streamyx!

When will the new pricing implemented?
We will be updating you guys once we know :D
Still expensive considering all stramyx package upload speed only a punny 512kbps/0.5mbps. Please discontinue steramyx and upgrade everyone to Unifi, or at least Unifi Lite SUBB which is half fiber and half copper, upload speed much better with 5mbps, that’s 10 times faster, and consider cheaper too.
Yeah if you look at it like that, yes, but it probably isn’t nearly as easy as we imagine it to be… But then again I am no telecommunications expert…
if unifi lite 10mbps price still maintain?
unifi Lite will also be reduced to RM69/month :D
Just received an SMS from them. The streamyx users will be upgraded to Unifi Lite and the pricing of RM69 will be reflected in September bill onward. Wuhuu!
