YES Offers Free #FirstToDiscover5G Prepaid SIM Packs

As you may recall in our previous coverage, YES is the first telco in the country to bring in 5G network, Now it seems that they are giving away a free YES FT5G Prepaid Discover SIM Pack to customers with a 5G smartphone.

They are giving away the SIM pack for free from now till the 14th of February 2022 to Malaysians with 5G compatible smartphones. You can check out the following steps if you are interested:

1. Sign up for the free SIM pack here or through the MyYes App from the mentioned dates
2. The SIM card will be delivered to you at no extra charge
3. Activate the SIM pack on a 5G compatible smartphone and complete activation through eKYC for verification purposes

They’ve said that there’s a total of 2 million 5G compatible smartphone in use in Malaysia today. At the current moment, 5G network is available in areas including Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, and parts of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, with plans to rapidly expand to all major cities by end-2022.
