Yes Infinite, YTL's "Cheapest and Fastest" Unlimited 5G Plan, Revealed

YTL Communications, known to most people as YES 5G, has introduced a new unlimited 5G postpaid plan that they promised will set a new standard for unlimited plans, and it’s called Yes Infinite.

The Yes Infinite plan is a postpaid plan that is said to offer both 5G and 4G connectivity with full speeds and unlimited data. Apart from that, it will also include unlimited voice calls and no Fair Usage Policy. There will be a total of four Yes Infinite plans for you to choose from, with the only thing that differs between each one is the amount of hotspot data.

  • Basic (10GB hotspot data) = RM58 per month
  • Standard (40GB hotspot data) = RM88 per month
  • Premium (70GB hotspot data) = RM118 per month
  • Ultra (100GB hotspot data) = RM178 per month

In case you want it bundled with a device, there are 5G smartphone bundles available with a 36-month contract, and your choice of device will depend on the plan you choose:

  • Basic = Vivo Y55+ 5G
  • Standard = Samsung Galaxy A33 5G or Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G
  • Premium = Samsung Galaxy A53 5G or OPPO Reno 7 5G
  • Ultra = Samsung Galaxy S22 5G or vivo X80 5GB

For those of you who are wondering, the 5G speeds are said to be pretty fast, averaging at about 665Mbps, which is a lot faster than the average 4G speed, which is 44.1 Mbps. 5G deployment is made possible thanks to DNB, and it covers selected areas of Kuala Lumpur, Cyberjaya, and Putrajaya, with expansions in Selangor and Johor.

Pokdepinion: I’m still happy enough with my 4G mobile data so I’m going to wait until they expand much more first. No point in paying for something that I can’t fully utilize in most places I go to anyway.
