Adobe Is Adding Productions to Premiere Pro for Seamless Collaboration

Adobe has unveiled a brand new feature coming to their popular video editing software, Adobe Premiere Pro, called Productions. The feature has a focus on collaboration, allowing you to share assets, manage projects, and keeping everything organized seamlessly with a team without sacrificing the ability for one to work on their own.

Normally, large projects will require you to work in a team but it can be cumbersome to check for progress, identify areas of improvement, and for multiple people to work on it simultaneously. With Productions, you can divide these projects into smaller pieces that people can work on independently.

Moreover, having the project synced through Productions will allow you and the team to reuse the same assets within Adobe Premiere Pro as opposed to having duplicates which will be a waste of time and space. Anyone in the team can work on different projects within the same production at the same time, which will allow you to maximize productivity. There will be no worries of people overwriting your work either with the use of Project Locking.

The feature was said to be designed from scratch by top filmmakers and editorial teams from Hollywood. In fact, early versions of the feature was used for blockbuster films such as Terminator: Dark Fate and Dolemite is My Name. There are even special builds of Adobe Premiere Pro with Productions currently being used in editorial for films like David Fincher’s MANK.

There is no word yet on exactly when Productions will coming to Adobe Premiere Pro aside from the vague “coming soon” message. We will be reporting more on this as soon as information becomes available.

Pokdepinion: This sure sounds like a huge relief to my headaches. Can’t wait to try it out myself.
