Facebook has just recently announced that they’ve acquired Giphy, one of the most popular GIF-sharing platform in a multi-million deal.

Facebook now under Giphy

Facebook has posted on their blogpost that Giphy is now joining a part of their team. As most of you may know already, Giphy is a platform where you can find most of your favorite GIFs out there.

The company has said that they are looking to integrate their GIF library into Instagram as well as their other apps for people to find and use GIFs at ease. They’ve said that 50% of the Giphy traffic beforehand ha already come from Facebook’s services.

The deal is said to be worth $400 million. Despite the acquisition, it doesn’t affect much to the users, you will still be able to use the platform as you used to.

Pokdepinion: Possible integration to private messages on Instagram? I wouldn’t mind that.
