HUAWEI has developed a rather wide array of tools to improve your productivity, and this seems like the perfect time for them to showcase their upcoming addition to the arsenal: HUAWEI WeLink. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, HUAWEI will be conducting the HUAWEI P40 Series’ launch virtually, and that includes the media briefing session, which will be done over said application.

In conventional product launches, the top brass will usually sit in a room with media for a quick Q&A session to address the medias’ questions. Since that’s not possible now, international media will get the exclusive opportunity to interview Richard Yu via WeLink.

WeLink is currently unavailable on the AppGallery, with HUAWEI promising to release it on the platform soon. A quick Google search reveals that the first iteration was launched back in January 2017 as a service to enable conference calls, manage emails, among other work-related communication tasks.

For some reason, the HUAWEI WeLink app is not available on the Play Store, but you can find it on Apple App Store. We will probably see more reports about the technology as well as what it does after it appears on the AppGallery officially.

The HUAWEI P40 series may have leaked in its entirety, and you can find out more about it here.

Pokdepinion: I wonder if the app will take off to replace all the other video conferencing apps we have in the market. I mean… We have quite a lot of time to try it out now…
