Netflix Has Started Rolling Out Its Mobile Games Worldwide For Subscribers On Android
Back in July, Netflix announced that they plan to venture out into making video games alongside its main video streaming service. The first few games released by the streaming platform were made available not long after that announcement but were limited to just a few countries such as Poland. Now, Netflix has made all their games available to all users across the globe.
Netflix games are now available worldwide
The new games will be available to all paying Netflix users at no additional cost, staying true to their promise in their original statement. The games will not come with advertisements or in-app purchases either. There are five games released which include games based on the streaming platform’s existing properties like Stranger Things. The games included are:
- Stranger Things: 1984
- Stranger Things 3
- Shooting Hoops
- Card Blast
- Teeter Up
At the moment, the games are available to play on Android devices only. The mobile games are also still in the process of rolling out so not everyone will have the games available to them right away. It still hasn’t popped up for me at the time of writing.
Netflix also had this to say regarding the announcement, “Just like our series, films and specials, we want to design games for any level of play and every kind of player, whether you’re a beginner or a lifelong gamer. And we’re just getting started. We’re excited to continue improving our mobile gaming experience and adding to our entertainment offering in the months ahead.”
Pokdepinion: I wonder what sort of games Netflix will be making in the future. Will they keep making mobile games or are they gonna venture into making bigger, AAA games?
