The government of Malaysia will be giving a one-off payment of RM50 eWallet credit to those between the ages of 18 to 20 via their eBelia programme. This initiative, which will cost roughly RM75 million, is said to benefit over 1.5 million youths in the country.

Youths play an important role as pioneers and users in adapting to the latest technologies. Towards culturising cashless financial transactions, the government through its eBelia programme will credit a one-off RM50 payment into the e-wallet accounts of those aged between 18 and 20.

Moreover, employers can claim a grant of up to RM4,000 for training programmes for the apprentices. This will encourage youth employment within the workforce.
