After a pretty long time being a WhatsApp Beta-exclusive feature, it is now available in the public version of WhatsApp. The top messaging app has finally joined the growing legion of apps that offer a dark mode, letting you text comfortably in the dark while also helping your OLED smartphone consume a little less battery.

To get the new Dark Mode option, go to WhatsApp Settings > Chats > Theme > Dark and you will get to enjoy a much darker messaging experience. There’s still no color options, so Telegram still has that in its favor.

WhatsApp Dark Mode

WhatsApp Dark Mode will be available for both Android and iOS devices in the latest versions for the respective operating systems. Android users will need to be sure they are running on at least Version 2.20.64 while iOS users have to check if they are using Version 2.20.30 now.

Now, Facebook, when is Dark Mode coming to your very own app coming?

Are you using Dark Mode for WhatsApp or any other apps? Sound off in the comment section below!
