WhatsApp Picture-in-Picture Video Call Support for iPhones

WhatsApp Launches PiP Support and Caption Feature for iPhone Video Calls 26

WhatsApp introduces Picture-in-Picture (PiP) support for iPhone video calls, as announced last December. Initially, the feature was only available to beta users, but it is now rolling out to all users across the globe who are using an iPhone running iOS 12.0 or later.

The latest WhatsApp version 23.3.77 for iPhone offers users the convenience of multitasking during a WhatsApp video call by minimizing the app. With the support for iOS Picture in Picture (PiP), the video call will not be paused while you use other apps. Furthermore, the new update also lets users add captions when sending documents. This new feature is now available to all WhatsApp users, making it easier to understand and categorize documents shared through the platform.

The update’s changelog also mentions that longer group subjects and descriptions are now supported, which can help describe groups more accurately. Users can now create personalized avatars and use them as stickers and profile photos.

Simply go to Settings > Avatar to get started. With the latest update for iPhone, users can enjoy a more productive experience during video calls, as well as added convenience in managing and sharing documents. The extended group description length is also a helpful addition for creating a more organized group environment. Upgrade your WhatsApp to version 23.3.77 today to access these features.

Pokdepinion: This will make it much easier when you need to go check something for reference while still on video call. It’s kind of awkward to be in a video call but not being able to see their face while you’re looking stuff up.
