Microsoft Is Experimenting With New Volume Mixer UI For Windows 11
The audio settings gets decluttered and now kept under one roof.

Microsoft has brought in a new change to the Windows 11 insider Dev Channel (Preview Build 25309), specifically targeting the audio volume mixer. The updated UI will allow users to adjust the volume of individual apps directly from Quick Settings as opposed to going all the way to Settings menu (or Volume Mixer) in the current official version of Windows, and the previous ones.
Aside from that, there’s a new shortcut key for power users in the form of Win+Ctrl+V to pop out the audio controls right away. Aside from master volume and per-app controls, the menu can access more advanced audio settings such as audio outputs (onboard speakers, headphones), as well as spatial audio mode (i.e. Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos).
Expect some wait times before this lands onto a future Windows update, though. Microsoft says this feature isn’t even fully rolled out to the most restricted Dev Channel “just yet”, so there should be a lot more testing to be done before this gets passed down the development pipeline.

Pokdepinion: I’d welcome this change very much – changing audio settings in Windows right now isn’t the easiest for novices, let’s say. (Also makes it more convenient for us power users.)
