As the official broadcaster of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, Astro will be launching their World Cup Channel Pass which offers all 64 Live matches in HD on all screens from 14 June to 15 July.

The pass is available for Astro Sports Pack / SuperPack / SuperPack Plus customers. In addition to that, they also stand a chance to win an all expense trip to Russia. For those who subscribe to Astro but don’t own any of the sports pack, you can get the pass at a price of RM100. To those who don’t even subscribe to Astro, there is an option as well. You can get the pass at a price of RM120 and watch the games live on Astro GO. If you’d like to purchase these passes, you can do so by clicking on the link right here.

The event was graced by the presence of two footballing legends, ex-Argentinian striker Hernan Crespo and Frenchman Louis Saha. They both gave their opinions on what will happen in the World Cup and as usual, predict who the winner will be at the tournament.

While broadcasting World Cups is a norm for Astro, this year around, they’re doing something different. In addition to the live broadcasting, they are also introducing Stadium Astro VR app, where it offers 180-degrees view of the stadium during live matches and exclusive content in VR. Though the app in itself hasn’t been released yet so we might need to wait further for that.

With the Stadium Astro app, second screen experience will be available to subscribers where it features real-time match-stats and results, match highlights and behind the scene footage.
