The COVID-19 pandemic has put a lot of strain in plenty of companies, especially small to medium businesses (SMBs). Now, there is one potential solution that companies can take, as there is a Facebook small business grant that Malaysian companies can apply for.

Facebook Small Business Grant Programme Aims to Help Out Malaysian Businesses

The Facebook small business grant programme offers RM3.2 million for over 300 eligible small businesses in Malaysia. It is part of the company’s initiative to offer financial support to companies that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In order to be eligible for Facebook small grant programme, the company must have:

• between 2 and 50 employees
• operating for at least a year
• have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic
• submit SSM (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia) Profile document to Facebook
• business location must be in close proximity with where Facebook Malaysia operates

Companies who are qualified can submit applications from now until 12th October 2020. The grant will consist of RM5,900 cash and RM3,500 optional advertising credits, which totals up to RM9,400.
