Ahhh Google Maps, it has come to our aid at most times but sometimes a little bit worrying. Starting from the gates of your house, to the opposite side of the world, Google Maps has footage of it. Not satisfied with just our planet, Google Maps now lets you explore 12 other worlds.

Navigate Through Our Solar System

Google Maps With New Feature - Ready For A Space Adventure?! 32Twenty years ago, the spacecraft Cassini launched from Cape Canaveral on a journey to uncover the secrets of Saturn along with its many moons. During the mission, Cassini recorded and sent nearly half a million pictures back to Earth, allowing our scientists to reconstruct these distant worlds in detail. Now, you can visit these places along with other planets and moons from the comfort of your computer.

Maps was made to be a platform of navigation for us. You don’t usually travel to other planets, well not yet atleast, but with this new added feature to Google Maps, that limited purpose has been subdued and this allows it to be used for exploration, learning, or just some good old adventure over the internet.

Although Google Maps has already allowed us to explore the Moon, Mars, and Universe for a few years, this new update has entirely added an extended range of other planets and moons in our solar system.

Google Maps With New Feature - Ready For A Space Adventure?! 33New planets to explore include Mercury and Venus, dwarf planets Ceres and Pluto, Jupiter’s moon Io, Europa and Ganymede, and many more. You can simply pick one from the list or, just for fun, zoom out from Earth until it takes you to outer space.

The new worlds are explorable now on Google Maps, go on and try it out!

Pokdepinion: It’s these types of advancement that makes think, dang, we’ve gone quite far as humanity. As soon as I’m done writing here, I’ll be playing around with Google Maps giggles
