New Instagram Feature Will Filter Out Abusive DM Requests

After so long, Instagram will finally be letting users post photos and other stuff on their PC rather than keeping it exclusive to its mobile app. Here’s what you need to know.

Previously, Instagram on PC (via browser) only lets you browse through the app and send DMs, which is great but not the full app experience. Soon, you will be able to post new pictures / videos from the comforts of your own PC.

Instagram has officially announced the new functionality for PC users, which has been in testing phase since June 2021. The feature will start rolling out everywhere on 21st October 2021.

This is a much-needed feature for many users, especially professional photographers and content creators who take the time to edit their creations using tools available on PC. While they can still upload their work just fine, it’s a little bit cumbersome to transfer over to smartphone, and then upload it. This will make the process much easier.

In other related news, Instagram will also be getting a new Live Mode testing option, the ability to make collaboration posts with other users, and more. We’re expected to hear more from on the new features very soon so stay tuned.
