YouTube went down for a bit today — could it have been a gimmick?

YouTube is like our main source of entertainment, and it is a huge repository of videos ranging from the funny stuff to the educational guides. Well it went down earlier today, and people have been losing their minds. YouTube has yet to reveal the reason, but we think this could be it.

No, we are kidding. YouTube has yet to reveal the reason why it went down for nearly an hour. Users were taking to Twitter and posting memes about YouTube going down. YouTube’s downtime must have affected content creators who rely on it to earn money.

Without YouTube, a lot of us are probably lost on the Internet. What do we do with our time now? Probably that’s why so many of them went on downdetector.com to report the issue.

Pokdepinion: I doubt it’s a gimmick for Wreck-it-Ralph, but considering that YouTube didn’t announce the reason why, it does make me curious as to why such a massive site could go down for more than an hour.
