GIGABYTE made the official announcement today with the latest BIOS update provided to all AMD 600 series motherboards, while also confirming the next-gen Ryzen will be called Ryzen 9000 series.

Following MSI, ASUS also announced formal next-gen Ryzen support for all of its AMD 600 series motherboards.

ASUS now officially supports 256GB DDR5 configurations for Intel 600 series, 700 series, and AMD Socket AM5 motherboards.

All MSI AMD motherboards now has support for up to 256GB of DDR5 RAM, while updates for Intel motherboards are currently rolling out.

MSI recently announced its consumer motherboards will begin supporting the new 64GB DDR5 modules, increasing the maximum supported system memory up to 256GB.

The latest AGESA 1.1.0.0 BIOS provided by ASUS and ASRock both contained references to "Phoenix", likely indicating the existence of AMD's Ryzen 7000G desktop APUs.

MSI's data breach last month includes private signing keys intended for BIOS and firmware - which brings significant security risks.

MSI has released updated BIOS to limit VSoC values in response to recent Ryzen 7000 incidents.

There are reportedly some AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs burning out due to excessive SoC voltages - and AMD is currently investigating.

MSI last week was hit with a breach, with source code leaked - including private keys, BIOS and firmware data.
