Xiaomi introduced several new devices during “Big Thursday” on July 16, most interesting of which was the Smart TV Mi TV2S.

This 48-inch TV, according to Xiaomi, has undergone a radical revamp (from top to bottom), and represents a new stage in the development of TV technology by Xiaomi.

The main feature of the device is subtility. Its thickness (9,9mm) is comparable to the thickness of the smartphone. Due to it, the TV looks elegant and sexy.

In addition, there are several different colors of the aluminum edge of the screen, making it easy to match the TV with any interior theme.

Xiaomi’s onslaught of affordable technology continues. The Chinese company has today launched its new 40-inch Mi TV 2: a powerful smart TV running an Android-based OS.

The TV sports a 40-inch full HD LED panel, 1.1GHz quad-core Cortex-A9 processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 4.4-based MIUI TV OS and will be getting the Android 5.0 update in the coming months.

The 40-inch Mi TV 2 can be used as a normal HDTV, a giant Android-powered screen or an Android gaming console. It also features a full format media player with H.265 10-bit hardware decoding support.
