The GAMEMAX T20 Is The Case Which Everything Inside Is Rotated By 90 Degrees

GAMEMAX has recently launched the new T20 micro-ATX case, with a unique take on component placements: everything inside the case is rotated counterclockwise by 90 degrees. Of course, such quirkiness has to be showcased, hence the case is also constructed with three-sided tempered glass enclosure.

Needless to say, physics won’t be too amused with the idea of rotating everything to the left when the principles of PC cooling are essentially built on the assumption that everything sits upright. However, GAMEMAX points out that as components get rotated, stack effect (commonly utilized in building designs) comes into play by following the “natural flow of heat dissipation”.

This is why the case only includes two pre-installed 120mm GAMEMAX Tornado T12-R fans – since the air will naturally flow from bottom to top as it heats up, less fans are required to redirect airflow effectively (on paper, this could mean lesser fan noise). It can also accommodate three more 120mm fans for air-cooled setups, or radiators up to 360mm for AIOs; the company also points out that GPU can now be showcased vertically thanks to the rotated design, not requiring PCIe risers to do so.

The T20’s uncommon layout meant dimension limits will be more restrictive. PSU sizes are limited to SFX and SFX-L up to 140mm in length, although mATX motherboards (including rear-connector variants) are perfectly serviceable for this case. GPU length are limited to 382mm, whereas CPU air coolers are limited to 160mm in height. You also get a pair of HDD and SSD drive bays available. Finally, the front panel I/O are relatively simple, with one USB-A (5Gbps) and USB-C (10Gbps) port each, plus a headphone jack.

The GAMEMAX T20 case is priced at $79.99 (~RM346) for the black model and $83.99 (~RM363) for the white variant.

Pokdepinion: Certainly a unique take on PC cases – would it work? It’d be very interesting to find out.
