Razer has introduced its newest Kishi mobile controllers in three variants: the Kishi V3, Kishi V3 Pro, and Kishi V3 Pro XL. The range will support Android and Apple smartphones (iPhone 15 and newer), tablets, and PCs in docked mode or separately as standalone wired controllers.

Razer Kishi V3 Series

The standard Kishi V3 comes in a ergonomic controller layout with tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) joysticks – TMR is said to be more sensitive and precise than Hall Effect sensors, and potentially offering the same level of reliability. Just like Hall Effect, TMR doesn’t rely on physical contact like traditional potentiometer-based joysticks do (like the ones in Nintendo Switch), which causes sensor to drift over time.

The Kishi V3 Pro and Pro XL both features slightly bigger handles, and attaches to smartphones and tablets up to 8 and 13 inches respectively. Both includes the same TMR joysticks, now with swappable caps; they also feature dual back buttons with mouse-click actuation, claw grip bumpers, and Razer Sensa HD haptics for tactile feedback (this feature is not supported in iOS, however).

All three models support USB-C passthrough charging, or connect to PCs via a separately-sold USB cable; alternatively, the Razer Nexus app available on mobile platforms offer remote play capability from the host PC or consoles. For direct attachments, the USB-C connector onboard features ‘island’ design so they’ll work with cases too.

To mark the launch, the Razer is offering up to six months of Apple Arcade for eligible new and returning subscribers, though be sure to cancel in time if you do not plan to pay once the trial period ends. As for the local pricing, the Kishi V3 is RM499, the Pro model is priced at RM769, and the Pro XL is listed at RM1,039.

Pokdepinion: That is quite expensive as far as controllers go.
