ASUS Malaysia has introduced the ExpertBook PM3 Series laptops and the ExpertCenter P500SV desktop as its latest business-focused products. Both models are now available nationwide.

The first new product is the ExpertBook PM3 series laptops, available in 14-inch (PM3406) and 16-inch (PM3606) models. Both are powered by up to AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor, along with dual SSD slots (one M.2 2280 and one M.2 2230), and DDR5 SO-DIMM support for repairability. Battery options are configurable up to 70Wh, with either 65W or 90W charging via USB-C (it even works with power banks delivering lower wattages, where most laptops will simply not accept the power).

As other ExpertBooks, these laptops will feature AI ExpertMeet software for conferencing functions such as real-time translation, automated summaries and noise reduction; for security, it features ASUS ExpertGuardian which incorporates NIST SP 800-155–compliant BIOS, TPM 2.0 encryption and Windows 11 Secured-Core certification, while the hardware includes various military standard compliances such as water resistance, structure rigidity and component reliability. The ExpertBook PM3 series is now available, priced from RM5,199.

The second product launched is the ExpertCenter P500SV compact desktop, with its rather spacious 8.6L internal volume featuring up to an Intel Core i7 processor with optional discrete GPU support via vacant PCIe slot, along with up to 64GB of DDR5 SO-DIMM memory. Since it shares the internals as the consumer-facing ASUS V500MV and the gaming-focused TUF T500, the CPU is a laptop chip cooled via copper heatpipes that channels the heat to the 120mm exhaust fan.

While it uses non-socketed CPUs and proprietary motherboard, ASUS maintains some degree of upgradability with SO-DIMM slots, a M.2 slot and a PCIe x16 slot (although you can only install GPUs at 75W max due to the lack of necessary power cables – which isn’t standard – found in Malaysia-bound variants). It’s got the same software and security features as the ExpertBook PM3, while it’s expansive I/O includes HDMI, DisplayPort, and RJ-45 LAN port. The ExpertCenter P500SV desktop is now available from RM3,449.

Pokdepinion: Still a bit baffled by some of the design choices made on the P500SV/V500MV/T500 trio.
