ASUS is launching two new OLED gaming monitors globally, namely the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W and ROG Strix OLED XG27AQWMG. Both models feature the brand’s latest Tandem OLED technology, TrueBlack Glossy panel coating, along with OLED Care Pro protection and Neo Proximity Sensor technology.
Let’s explain the terms in detail. Tandem OLED is pretty much what it says on the tin – by stacking two OLED panels together, this allows the panel to gain higher peak brightness, better color performance, along with panel lifespan (since each individual panel now works less hard), compared to earlier WOLED-based displays. TrueBlack Glossy is designed for keep blacks deep even under direct lighting, while the Neo Proximity Sensor, as part of the OLED Care Pro protection suite, keeps panel off if the user is sensed not present to save power and preserve panel lifespan.

The first of two models introduced is the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W, a 27-inch 1440p gaming monitor offering a native 540Hz refresh rate, making it the fastest OLED monitor currently available. That’s not the end of it though: the monitor supports DFR modes that allow users to switch between 1440p at 540Hz or, if you want the fastest panel speed, 720Hz at a mere 720p resolution. The display meets VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification and covers 99.5% of the DCI-P3, along with a claimed 1,500 nits of HDR peak brightness.

Meanwhile, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQWMG is a more conventional model featuring a 27-inch 1440p Tandem OLED panel with a 280Hz refresh rate, with the rest of the panel specs pretty much identical as the aforementioned ROG Swift OLED model, including the same VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, 99.5% DCI-P3 coverage, 10-bit color, 1,500 nits HDR peak brightness, and more.
The ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W will be available in Malaysia by the end of November 2025, while details regarding the local release of the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQWMG will be announced later. No local pricing has been given, though as far as US pricing is concerned, ASUS lists the former at US$1,099 (~RM4,546), while the latter costs US$599 (~RM2,478).
