JAC T9 Pickup Preview

In the launch event, JAC has previewed the T9 pick-up series, which includes the T9 Diesel 2.0 CTI 4×4 and the first-in-Malaysia T9 BEV 4×4. Both vehicles will be launched in January 2025 through EvolvElectric Motors Sdn Bhd, the automaker’s sole distributor in Malaysia. In terms of safety features, both variants feature ADAS 2.0, front/rear disc brakes, a driver monitoring system, and seven airbags (the diesel model scored a 5-star Australia NCAP rating as well).
The automaker is offering promotional pricing for early customers as well: the T9 Diesel 2.0 CTI 4×4 is available for under RM120,000 with a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty for the first 300 customers who book before December 31, 2024. Meanwhile, the T9 BEV 4×4 is priced under RM200,000 (including a 6-year or 200,000 km warranty) for the first 100 customers who book before the same date. Bookings can be done by contacting the distributor’s Facebook page.

JAC also currently offers several light commercial EVs in Malaysia, including the i40EV, i75EV, and i90EV models, distributed by JAC Auto Malaysia Sdn Bhd. For those who aren’t ready to transition into EV-based fleet just yet, the company also offers Euro IV-compliant diesel models N50 and N80, with the N120 model meeting Euro V standards.
Pokdepinion: Haven’t seen many EV 4x4s here in Malaysia so far, so this is a start.
