smart Malaysia has launched smartCO, a community privileges program designed for smart EV owners. This initiative aims to create “a robust community where business opportunities flourish,” all integrated through the ‘Hello smart’ App.
smartCO: smart’s Platform For Businesses To Grow

“smartCO is a testament to our unwavering commitment to our customers. We are not just building cars; we are building communities,” said Zhang Qiang, CEO of smart Malaysia. “With smartCO, we’re giving our customers unparalleled opportunities to grow their businesses while fostering a sense of belonging among smart owners. We are confident that this program will set a new benchmark in the industry.”
Essentially, smartCO functions in similar ways to a social media, which enables owners to make new friends and exchange ideas through the Hello smart App. Business owners joining the program can gain visibility and access to a network of potential customers – the app serves as a platform “for members to showcase their businesses leading to increased patronage and collaboration opportunities,” according to the automaker.
smart EV owners who own businesses that can serve the smart community can apply for membership by posting in the Hello smart App community and describe the business and services provided (along with benefits that can provide to other smart owners). The automaker will then evaluate the application, and contacts the owner via WhatsApp or email if successful. Verified smartCO members will also enjoy exclusive benefits at smart events and offer special discounts and perks to other smart owners. (Here’s the FAQ for more details.)
Pokdepinion: A pretty unique proposition, all things considered.
