Despite rumours suggesting otherwise last year, it appears that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 will not be coming with a built-in S Pen slot.

No S Pen Slot for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 Unboxing and First Impressions

According to a recent report from South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 will not come with a built-in S Pen slot, despite some earlier rumors. Apparently, Samsung did consider adding a slot for the S Pen during the design phase, but ultimately decided against it, as it would have made the device too thick.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 is said to feature a new hinge design that will minimize the crease, as well as a different internal arrangement that would not allow for an S Pen slot. Although Samsung had thought about creating a slimmer S Pen for the Galaxy Z Fold5, the company ultimately decided against it, as it would have compromised the writing experience.

However, Samsung is reportedly working on a thinner S Pen that will not affect the stylus experience, and this new stylus could be available in time for the Galaxy Z Fold6. This means that while the Z Fold5 will not have a built-in S Pen slot, the device will still offer an excellent foldable smartphone experience, with improved hinge design and internal arrangement.

In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 will not feature a built-in S Pen slot, but the device will still offer an impressive folding smartphone experience. Meanwhile, Samsung is actively working on a thinner S Pen that will not compromise the stylus experience, which could be available for the Galaxy Z Fold6.
