Intel’s new Core Ultra 200S series desktop processors are yet to go on sale, but it didn’t take long for its longtime rival AMD to respond with appropriate measures – in this case, the company has formally announced the new Ryzen 9000X3D series, bringing the highly-successful 3D V-Cache design to Zen 5 for the first time.
AMD Ryzen 9000X3D Series: Coming Soon

However, the chipmaker hasn’t revealed everything about the upcoming lineup just yet. We do have a date – November 7th, 2024 – which is exactly two weeks after Intel debuts the Core Ultra 200S processors in the market. Leaks thus far have suggested that three models will be revealed in due time, though the 8-core model (allegedly Ryzen 7 9800X3D) will lead the way with the other two to likely follow at a later date.

As an additional announcement, the chipmaker has slashed the prices of its current Ryzen 9000 lineup across the board to sweeten the deal (as reviews generally agree that this generation is a bit of a dud when it comes to gen-on-gen), though it’s worth noting that this is US pricing, so the actual pricing in Malaysia may be reflected differently.
In any case, AMD wants to make itself known in the gaming battlefield for this generation’s match-up, but we should hear more details on the new lineup, plus other tidbits that AMD had previously teased.
