If you ever visited one of the PC shops out there, there’s a good chance this one GPU sits in the corner with unassuming looks just stays there – that’s NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 in essence. 10 years on, even when NVIDIA has ended support for this card, it’s somehow still not dead in the GPU market.
The Undead GT 730

You still can buy a brand-new GT 730 today, courtesy of Maxsun in Chinese marketplace JD.com. According to ITHome, it’ll be available in two variants: 4GB DDR3 or 2GB DDR3, while its dual-slot, single-fan form factor provides three display outputs in the form of HDMI, DVI, and VGA – the latter two have since ceased to exist in modern consumer hardware.
Upon inquiry, it turns out this new variant is simply a rebadged version of the MS-GT730 Power Hammer, and the rebranding was necessary due to company’s internal supply chain management. That means, the specs are the exact same, with a GK208 silicon consuming up to 50W of power, with a paltry amount of 384 CUDA cores and 902MHz clock speed.

As mentioned, NVIDIA has stopped providing support for this GPU since 2021, so there is no more driver updates available to fix any bugs or flaws if there is one. Gaming on it is pretty much not viable as even modern onboard graphics on CPUs outpace them easily, so a GPU like this is often relegated to display duty and not much else.
Pokdepinion: Does this card even sell these days? Doesn’t seem like it’s a better deal than iGPUs.
