When Razer originally released the BlackWidow V4 75% back in 2023, one of the key features it offers is the ability to hot swap the switches and keycaps to your personal preference. For almost two years since its launch, the brand only offered a fully-assembled version, but that’s changing today if you intend to bring your own hardware (and it’s cheaper, too).
BlackWidow V4 75% Now In Barebones

Like the original BlackWidow V4 75%, the Barebones version maintains the same structural design while omitting pre-installed switches and keycaps (along with wrist rests); it still supports both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, and includes features such as dual-layer dampening foam, pre-lubricated stabilizers, an FR4 plate, and pre-applied modding tape to achieve the satisfying “thock” sound that most keyboard enthusiasts crave for.
The keyboard still integrates Razer’s 8000 Hz HyperPolling for minimal input latency, along with per-key RGB lighting and two-side underglow courtesy of Razer Chroma RGB. The media controls also remained if that’s a feature you liked in the full-fledged model.
If you still prefer some bits of Razer on top of the keyboard, you can purchase Razer’s Mechanical Switches Gen-3 separately in clicky Green, linear Yellow, or tactile Orange variants; optional Razer Phantom Keycap Upgrade Sets are also available in Black and White as a separate purchase if you’re looking to bring your own switch while keeping the same Razer aesthetics.
The Razer BlackWidow V4 75% Barebones is now available in Black or White, with the Black version costing RM669, while the white version adds a RM40 premium totaling RM709. Note that the newly-released Phantom Green variant is not available in barebones version, so you’ll need to pay for the fully assembled version at RM999 apiece.
Pokdepinion: Took probably longer than needed for this, honestly.
