COLORFUL’s feline-themed sub-brand COLORFIRE has recently introduced its new motherboard, the B650M-MEOW WIFI. This AMD motherboard’s main selling point is not necessarily performance or feature set, as you can see, and there’s more than just a shade of paint too.

As a micro-ATX motherboard, the COLORFIRE B650M-MEOW WIFI comes with a modest 12+2+1 powerstage VRM setup, along with two PCIe 5.0 SSD slots onboard, 2.5GbE LAN, and Wi-Fi 6 support. All in all, a pretty standard affair as far as B650 motherboards go – but the secret sauce lies in the BIOS.

Upon entering the new BIOS menu (dubbed ‘MEOW BIOS’) you’ll be greeted with an appropriately cat-themed interface with the orange tabby cat, Bobi, situated at the bottom of the screen. The modifications don’t stop here, as there are real UI improvements: COLORFUL says the BIOS menu has been “redesigned for improved usability,” with menu levels now reduced from three to two, and related sub-items are now grouped accordingly so you spend less time finding the setting you’re looking for.

Besides that, the firmware also provides a ‘Help Tip’ section that helps explain each functions, along with real-time memory overclocking prompts that helps you figure out the memory settings based on the configured frequencies. One small caveat – this BIOS menu is not yet available for this particular motherboard (which is already available on the Intel-based B760M equivalent), but the BIOS update should arrive reasonably soon.

So far, COLORFUL has yet to announce official pricing and availability information, though it should be available in the coming weeks.
