NVIDIA Broadcast Can Make Your Eyes Point Forward
Having to read the teleprompter but can’t move the eyes? Here’s a solution…
The latest NVIDIA Broadcast 1.4 update brings two new features: Eye Contact and Vignette. You may have seen speakers taking their eyes off briefly off camera to look at teleprompters – the Eye Contact feature uses AI to align your eyes onto the camera head-on.
The feature is still in beta testing though, and NVIDIA is seeking users to send in videos for better eye detections (as there are literally millions of eye combinations out there). If the eyes stray too far of the camera, the AI will automatically disengage and transition back to actual eye movement from the simulated one.
Another feature, Vignette, is pretty self-explanatory: with the existing background detection techniques, this feature is also paired with Background Blur which “instantly (improves) visual quality”, the company claims. Aside from two new features – the Virtual Background gets enhancements which uses temporal detection technique to provide better segmentation and stability.
Furthermore, the Broadcast app now gets mirroring and screenshot feature natively. All features will also be available through app integrations including OBS, Streamlabs and Elgato Camera Hub.
Pokdepinion: I know where NVIDIA is coming from with this but still… sounds a bit eerie isn’t it?
