vivo Malaysia has announced that V50 Lite – the brand’s latest mid-range offering under the V50 series – will be launching in Malaysia very soon. Before that happens, here is a quick recap on the smartphone’s specs.

vivo V50 Lite Coming Soon

Starting off, vivo says the new V50 Lite features a 6500mAh BlueVolt battery and fits within the constraints of the chassis that is just 7.79mm thick. Fast charging is done via 90W FlashCharge, allowing it to reach 20% charge in a claimed 7.5 minutes and a full charge in under an hour. The smartphone also supports reverse charging capabilities for powering other devices.

The battery’s increased energy density is achieved in several improvements, including a dual-layer graphite structure for improved thermal conductivity and energy efficiency, as well as compressed battery electrodes to increase storage density without increasing the cell’s physical footprint.

Other features of the V50 Lite include a 6.77-inch P-OLED display with a 94.2% screen-to-body ratio and 2.5D flat screen (meaning the screen’s edge is slightly rounded, though not curved). For local markets, vivo offers three color variants for the smartphone, which includes Titanium Gold, Phantom Black, and Fantasy Purple. While not explicitly announced in its press release, the product page of the model also reveals that it’ll be using MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, as opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 found in the standard model.

As part of the launch, vivo Malaysia is running the #BlueVoltBatteryMissionMY TikTok Challenge from 1 to 18 May 2025, where creators can win exclusive merchandise and units of the new V50 Lite by featuring the smartphone’s battery capabilities – which will be the main selling point of this upcoming model.
