Four new Lenovo Legion gaming laptops is unveiled today in Malaysia, as announced by the laptop maker. The refreshed Legion Pro series are now available nationwide, whereas the updated Legion 5 lineup will be available in the following months.
New Lenovo Legion Laptops

The newly-updated Lenovo Legion 5i (Intel) and Lenovo Legion 5 (AMD) feature Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processors respectively – regardless of your processor choice, both models can be equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPUs for maxed-out configurations. These devices come with up to 15.3″ QHD+ 165Hz OLED PureSight displays and Lenovo Legion Coldfront Hyper for cooling.
For this update, Lenovo says the chassis are now 13% lighter and thinner, and the company specifically says “university gamers in non-STEM programs” for its target audience. Seems oddly specific, but in any case, you can buy the Legion 5i starting this June at a starting price of RM6,499, while the Legion 5 is expected to be available in June or July 2025 starting at RM5,599.

For those who wants something more akin to desktop-replacement laptops, the new Lenovo Legion Pro 7i/5i offer up to Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor along with NVIDIA’s top-tier GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU to max out the 16-inch QHD+ 240Hz OLED display. As before, you get quite the versatile I/O that includes five USB ports onboard (two USB-C ports and three USB-A ports), HDMI 2.1 and LAN port for wired connections. For pricing, the Legion Pro 7i and Legion Pro 5i start at RM15,999 and RM7,499, respectively – both models are now immediately available nationwide.
Pokdepinion: I do wish the AMD Legion 5 gets the Ryzen 9 HX chip instead.
