AMD’s latest 3D V-Cache lineup currently consists of three models: the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D, the 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X3D, and the 8-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Going by past releases, there should be a six-core 9600X3D coming up next – the chipmaker may have accidentally confirmed this chip’s existence, which was not yet announced at any point before the discovery made by X/Twitter user MelodicWarrior.
Ryzen 5 9600X3D Spotted

This CPU model was spotted under the compatibility list of Radeon AI PRO R9700’s SI Driver, which lists various Ryzen CPUs that includes several unannounced ones: the aforementioned Ryzen 5 9600X3D, along with four Ryzen PRO processors for enterprise users, including Ryzen 9 PRO 9945, Ryzen 7 PRO 9745, Ryzen 5 PRO 9645, and Ryzen 5 PRO 9400.
While no specs were explicitly mentioned, we can deduce from existing information: the Ryzen 5 9600X3D will likely feature 6 cores, with the second-generation 3D V-Cache technology that, on top of having an additional 64MB of cache (totaling 96MB L3) to boost gaming performance, also allows it to be overclocked like its bigger brothers. As such, expect identical TDP along with similar clock speeds as its non-X3D counterpart, the Ryzen 5 9600X.
The user noted that the “majority” of the CPU in this list has started shipping as early as “early March”, and noting that the 9600X3D will likely hit the DIY market between late Q3 to early Q4.
Pokdepinion: This should be a pretty popular choice among budget PCs.
