Hisense took center stage at the 17th FutureChina Global Forum in Singapore, where the company highlighted its latest technology innovations aimed at promoting healthier living. Clara Chang, President of Hisense ASEAN, represented the brand and shared how the company is responding to evolving consumer demands through purposeful product development and a commitment to health-focused innovation.

Hisense highlighted its RGB MiniLED display technology, which uses independently controlled red, green, and blue backlighting alongside coordinated color and brightness control to produce detailed color gradation and contrast. The company said the technology reflects years of investment in core chip development, supported by its integrated capabilities across display technology, algorithms, and manufacturing.
On the appliance side, Hisense detailed its Advanced UV Ice & Water Treatment Technology, which applies UV sterilization to a refrigerator’s ice and water system, alongside options for chilled water, crushed ice, and crescent ice. This is paired with All Zone Purify Plus, which extends purification across both refrigerator and freezer compartments through Hi-NANO, offering continuous active purification, and Fresh+, aimed at longer-lasting food protection. The company said similar health-oriented technology has been extended to other categories, including Hi-NANO air conditioning for indoor air quality and Healthy Water washing technology for fabric care.
Chang also outlined Hisense’s broader international growth, noting the company entered the South African market in 1996 and has since built 32 R&D centers, 41 industrial parks and manufacturing bases, and 65 overseas companies and offices under what it describes as a “7+1” regional network. Since 2018, the brand has brought more than 40 supply-chain partners into its overseas operations.
In ASEAN specifically, Hisense has pursued a “Local for Local” strategy over 20 years of own-brand development, establishing regional headquarters, factories, and local teams. Its Thailand HHA Smart Manufacturing Industrial Park, which broke ground in September 2025, is described as the company’s largest overseas industrial park. Chang pointed to projects such as Indonesian government commercial displays and Kelin Electric as examples of B2B business, which she said represents a second growth area supporting Hisense’s shift from a home appliance brand toward a broader technology group.
Pokdepinion: UV-treated ice sounds oddly reassuring, though most people probably never thought to worry about their fridge’s ice in the first place.
