Razer has unveiled the Razer Wolverine V4 lineup, comprising the wireless Wolverine V4 Pro and the wired Wolverine V4 Tournament Edition, both designed for competitive play on Xbox and PC. The Wolverine V4 Pro leads the lineup with new high-resolution capacitive thumbstick sensors, up to 8,000Hz HyperPolling, magnetic swappable back buttons, and a removable magnetic faceplate, targeting FPS players, racing sim enthusiasts, and esports competitors.

At the core of the Wolverine V4 line are new capacitive thumbstick sensors, which Razer describes as the next step beyond TMR (tunnelling magnetoresistance) and Hall Effect designs. Paired with a 16-bit ADC chip, these sensors register approximately 3,000 steps of movement, which Razer says deliver smoother tracking, reduced jitter, and drift-free accuracy without relying on physical contact points that wear over time.

On PC, the Wolverine V4 Pro supports up to 8,000Hz HyperPolling, both wired and wireless, meaning the controller reports positional data up to 32 times more frequently than a standard controller and up to eight times faster than entry-level esports controllers. On Xbox Series X|S consoles, polling is supported at up to 250Hz. Button latency drops to sub-1ms across the board.

The Wolverine V4 Pro features four magnetic swappable back buttons and two claw-grip bumpers that can be attached or removed without tools, letting players configure their own loadout for any genre. Razer Pro HyperTriggers offer two distinct trigger modes: a near-instant 1.3 mm actuation for rapid-fire FPS inputs, or a full 8.2 mm analog pull for racing sims. Trigger actuation can be fine-tuned anywhere within that range through Razer Synapse.

Face buttons use reinforced PBT mecha-tactile construction for fast, consistent feedback, while the 8-way floating D-pad supports clean cardinal inputs and quick diagonal movement. Textured TPU side grips provide a secure hold during extended sessions. Six thumbstick caps are included: short concave, short convex, and tall concave microtextured variants to suit different grip styles and aiming preferences.

The controller supports four onboard profiles, each with fully remappable inputs across six multi-function buttons, dead zone adjustment from 0% to 15%, and trigger actuation customization. Profile switching can be done on the fly without software. The magnetic faceplate, meanwhile, can be swapped or removed entirely for personalization.

Razer Wolverine V4 Tournament Edition

As for the Razer Wolverine V4 Tournament Edition, it is the wired, more accessible entry point into the Wolverine V4 lineup. It shares the capacitive sensor platform and HyperPolling support but omits the wireless connectivity, removable faceplate, removable back buttons, and swappable thumbsticks found on the Pro model. It is aimed at players who want the core precision improvements without the full modular feature set, at a more affordable price tag.

Pricing & Availability

The Razer Wolverine V4 Pro is priced at RM999 and is available now at Razer.com and RazerStores, with local retailers to follow. The Razer Wolverine V4 Tournament Edition is priced at RM499 and is similarly available now through the same channels.
