Samsung is presenting its “Design Is an Act of Love” exhibition at Seoul Design Week 2026, held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul from 15 to 25 October. The exhibition features 14 artworks by emerging Italian artists, each displayed on a Samsung OLED TV S95H fitted with a custom frame, celebrating Samsung’s design philosophy of understanding and caring for people.
‘Design Is an Act of Love’ Exhibition
Developed in collaboration with POLI.design, the exhibition draws on creative interpretations of Samsung products spanning mobile devices, home appliances, and televisions, including the Music Studio 5, Bespoke AI Family Hub, and Galaxy Z Fold8. Artists used AI as a tool to explore new forms of expression, with each work grounded in the artist’s own perspective and creative vision.

The exhibition builds on a similar showcase Samsung held with Korean artists at Design Miami Seoul 2026 in September – this iteration shifts focus to Italian emerging talent, exploring how different cultural backgrounds and personal experiences shape the interpretation of everyday technology products.
Among the participating artists, Tommy Tokyo, a multidisciplinary creator whose practice spans virtual reality, animation, and digital media, created a work inspired by the Infinite AI air purifier. The piece translates the product’s concept of clean air into an expressive visual narrative. Caffè Design, meanwhile, drew inspiration from The Serif TV’s iconic I-shaped silhouette, exploring how its distinctive form interacts with the surrounding space.
Each of the 14 artists approached a different Samsung product, reinterpreting its form and function through personal imagination. Every artwork in the exhibition is displayed on a Samsung OLED TV S95H, a model featuring a Float Layer Design that makes the screen appear to float above a metal plate. Each unit is also fitted with a custom frame designed specifically for the exhibition, matched to the colors and mood of its corresponding artwork.
